The standard course consists of 20 lessons of general German.

The schedule for this course is generally from 9:00 am to 10:45 am and from 11:05 am to 12:50 pm. During the summer there may be an additional afternoon shift.

During the lessons you will improve your communication skills in different everyday situations. In 2 daily lessons the following areas are covered: grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The other two lessons focus on: speaking, listening, reading and writing. A textbook is used, as well as a variety of materials and exercises. Role-plays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines are also used. Course materials fee p/wk are 15CHF (up to max of 20 wks)

One way = 165CHF

* Host family:
- Usually families are outside the center of Zurich.
- Families have a good connection to public transport and are located at a distance of around 45-60 minutes from the school.
- Some families have a private bathroom. If you are interested in this option you must pay a supplement of 85 CHF per week (single room) or 65 CHF per week (double room).
- Students under 18 must book the half board/2 meals option.
- Double/twin rooms are only available for students traveling together and taking a language course at the school.
- Bed linen and towels are provided.
- Check-in (arrival): Sunday
- Check-out (departure): Sunday

The school also offers residences and hotels for your stay. However, in Switzerland it is not possible to book this type of accommodation through an intermediary. Therefore, you will need to contact the owner directly. If you require more information, ask us.

If you already have knowledge of German you can start your course any Monday. If you are an absolute beginner (A0-A1) you can start the German course on the first Monday of each month.

The International School Year (ISY) course starts on the first Monday of each month.

The school is closed on holidays and classes are not made up or refunded.
