+50 Program - Standard Course

If you are over 50 and want to learn Italian in a suitable environment, this course is the perfect choice for you.

In the mornings you will have Italian classes with people of different ages
and in the afternoons you will have time to explore Viareggio and its surroundings with friends your age (+50).

* Program structure:
- 20 Italian lessons per week.
- Guided tour of the city and the main monuments (includes visits to the Regina Margherita promenade and the Gran Caffe).
- Half-day excursions to Carrara and Sarzana.
- Cooking course where you will discover the secrets of Mediterranean food.
- Excursion to Torre del Lago with a visit to the house of Giacomo Puccini and its corresponding museum.
- Wine tasting with an expert:; the authentic red wine of Tuscany with cheese and bread from the region.
- Excursion during the weekend to Florence.

* Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 students must participate in this program. If there is only one student enrolled in the course, they will receive an additional daily individual lesson instead of the cultural program.

* Starting dates in 2022: June 6 and September 5. Teaching material is included in the course price.

The school offers a transfer service to your accommodation that costs:
- From Pisa Galileo Galilei (PSA): 95 EUR/way
- From Viareggio train station: EUR 35/way

In case of late arrival, a supplement of EUR 15 per hour will be applied.

Accommodation is booked from the Sunday before the course (from 14h00) to the Saturday after the course ends (until 10h00). On request you can book extra nights.

During the summer (July-August 2023) we charge a supplement on the accommodation that is already included in the offer.

* Host family:
- Double/twin rooms can only be booked by two students traveling together.
- Breakfast is small, usually consisting of coffee/tea with bread, butter and jam.
- Half board (2 meals) includes breakfast and a hot dinner served around 20h00

* Student's residence:
- They are apartments with 2-4 rooms.
- The kitchen and bathroom are shared.
- Bed linen is included, but you must bring your own towels.
- The school requests a refundable deposit of 100 EUR that will be refunded once you return the accommodation in a good condition. A fee of 50 EUR for cleaning service will be deducted from this value.
- Double rooms can only be booked by two students traveling together.

On request we can inform you about hotel accommodation.

Between the months of November and March, the school will be closed, but accommodation is available on request and without the need to book a course.

You can start your course any Monday between April and October as long as you have knowledge of Italian.

Absolute beginners can start their course on the following dates in 2022: May 2, May 16, May 30, June 6, June 20, July 4, July 18, August 1, August 16, August 29, September 5, September 19, October 3 and October 17.

And if you are already planning to travel in 2022, these are the dates: May 2, May 15, May 29, June 5, June 19, July 3, July 17, July 31, August 7, August 21, September 4, September 18, October 2 and October 16.

* Information about other courses:
- Academic School Year/Gap Year: course + culture of the country and research project.
- Individual classes with specific topics: business, health, tourism, law, etc.
- Lunch with the teacher.
- Cooking courses.
- Hiking after class.

The school is open from April to October. During this period, the school will be closed on public holidays and classes are not made up or refunded.

A placement test is always taken at the beginning of every course to assure the optimal level of learning is assessed.

According to the type of course a certificate will be issued.

Our price is identical to the price if book directly with the school.
